We created Axis North Health because too many women enter perimenopause feeling confused, alone, or dismissed — and you deserve better than that. This chapter isn’t an ending; it’s a shift into your strongest, clearest, most intuitive self. You deserve real clarity, real support, and someone who actually listens and explains what’s happening in your body without fear or shame. My role is simple: to walk with you, steady you, and give you the guidance you should have had all along.

Jeff G Pond, PhD — Founder, Axis North Health

Hi, I’m Jeff — the founder of Axis North Health.

I hold a PhD in Leadership and Human Behavior and a master’s degree in Kinesiology, and I began my professional career as a strength and conditioning coach at San Francisco State University. From there, I went on to lead and manage high-end fitness and wellness facilities across the Bay Area, working with athletes, executives, and everyday individuals navigating performance demands, recovery, and major life transitions.

For more than a decade, I also lived and worked throughout Europe as an educational leader in American international schools. That experience gave me a global perspective on health, stress, and resilience — and, more importantly, a clear view of how women across cultures experience perimenopause and menopause with limited guidance, inconsistent science, and little meaningful support. Whether in Germany, Belgium, or Italy, the pattern was the same: women were expected to push through complex physiological changes without clear, evidence-based information.

My work integrates exercise physiology, behavioral science, stress regulation, leadership psychology, and real-world coaching experience. Everything I share is grounded in peer-reviewed research and practical application — not trends, fear-based messaging, or guesswork.

Today, my mission is to help women understand their bodies with clarity, confidence, and compassion, making this chapter less isolating and far more supported. Axis North Health exists to provide science-backed guidance that respects women’s intelligence, honors their lived experience, and supports long-term strength — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

With care,
Jeff Pond, PhD - Founder, Axis North Health

RaNon Chaussee — Co-Collaborator & Women’s Wellness Advocate

Hi, I’m RaNon.

I’m a union electrician with over a decade of experience working in physically demanding, high-stress environments, and I was honored to be named Oregon Tradeswoman of the Year for my work supporting women in the trades. I’ve spent much of my life doing hard work — physically, mentally, and emotionally — while advocating for women who are often expected to carry heavy loads without adequate support.

I’m also deeply involved in preserving and honoring the legacy of the original Rosie the Riveters. Through national travel, memorial events, educational outreach, and historical preservation, I work to ensure the stories of these women — and the strength they embodied — are remembered and respected. Their legacy continues to inspire how I think about women’s resilience, labor, and worth.

Today, my focus is on women’s wellness, particularly supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, as well as those navigating high-stress careers, physical labor, and caregiving roles. I am pursuing advanced training in perimenopause and menopause education, holistic wellness coaching, and massage therapy, with an approach that honors the whole person — body, nervous system, and lived experience.

As a mother of five, I understand firsthand the cumulative impact of responsibility, stress, and constant adaptation. I bring that lived reality into Axis North Health to help ensure that what we offer is not just scientifically sound, but genuinely supportive, practical, and grounded in real life. My role here is to help shape guidance that reflects women’s strength — not their supposed limitations — and to walk alongside those navigating this powerful transition.

With strength and compassion,
RaNon Chaussee - Co-Collaborator & Women’s Wellness Advocate
